Dyna - Speed Merchant Regulator Relocation

To install the skid plate, the factory EVAP canister (if you have one) would need to be removed.  Once the EVAP canister is removed, then remove the voltage regulator from the factory position at the front of the frame.  Next, install the regulator relocation plate onto the stock location where the voltage regulator was located; using the round holes with the crown section facing up and the slotted holes toward the bottom.  Then install the voltage regulator to the relocation plate using the slotted holes, this would lower the voltage regulator to clear the crash bar (Re-use the factory allen bolts that held the regulator in place from the factory, along with the supplied 1/4 x 20 nyloc nuts for attachment).

Note: The EVAP canister needs to be removed for this application as the EVAP canister will not clear the skid plate.

Once the regulator is lowered, the crash bar can be installed. The skid plate mounting tabs would become sandwiched between the frame and the crash bar mounting plates.  Both the skid plate and crash bar use the same holes for mounting.
