- The smaller tab on the adapter bracket should face the headlight.
- The factory bracket that attaches to the fairing should sit inside the supplied adapter brackets.
- The lever of the quick release should be facing away from the headlight.
- Use the 5/16 x 24 bolts (4 total) to bolt the quick release mechanism onto the adapter brackets.
- Place the aluminum spacer underneath the factory headlight riser block.
- Secure it using the longer 3/8 bolt. This will raise the headlight approximately 1 inch from its original position.
- When removing the headlight from the lower tree, you’ll also need to remove the pinch bolt holding the headlight to the factory riser block.
- The factory riser block is offset drilled, so it needs to be rotated 180 degrees and reinstalled.
- After rotating the factory block, reinstall it. This will position the headlight further forward and allow it to align with the foam gasket on the quarter fairing.
- Make sure the headlight is positioned properly to sit against the foam gasket of the fairing, ensuring a tight fit.
- Refer to the installation pictures on the website for visual guidance.
This should help you properly install the headlight with the new spacer and quick-release mechanism.
