Revo Twin Crashbar
Installation Instructions
1. Remove Lower Plastic Shrouds
- To access the lower mounting points, remove the two plastic shrouds located on the lower section of the bike.
- These shrouds are secured with two Torx head bolts on either side. Remove the bolts and carefully slip the shrouds out of place.
2. Position the Crashbar
- With the plastic shrouds removed, position the crashbar beneath the lower mounting points.
- Lift the crashbar upwards so that the lower mounting tabs align with their mounting positions on the frame.
- Once the lower tabs are in place, rotate the top of the crashbar toward the frame to line up the upper mounting holes.
3. Install the Upper Mounting Bolts
- Use the M10 bolts provided to attach the upper mounting tabs to the threaded holes in the chassis.
- Insert the bolts through the crashbar mounting tabs into the frame.
- Tighten these bolts loosely to help hold the crashbar in place, making it easier to install the lower bolts.
4. Install Left Side Spacer and M8 Bolts
- On the left side of the bike, place the thicker rectangular spacer between the crashbar mounting tab and the bike mount.
- Use the longer supplied M8 bolts to attach the crashbar, passing through the spacer and the frame mount.
5. Install Right Side Spacer and M8 Bolts
- On the right side of the bike, use the thinner spacer between the crashbar and the bike mount.
- Attach the crashbar using the shorter supplied M8 bolts.
6. Tighten All Bolts
- Once all bolts are started and aligned, tighten them securely:
- M8 bolts: Torque to 30-35 ft-lbs
- M10 bolts: Torque to 40-45 ft-lbs
7. Reinstall Plastic Shrouds
- Once the crashbar is fully installed and tightened, reinstall the lower plastic shrouds that were removed earlier.
