Bung King Shock Slider Kit Installation

Tools & Supplies Needed

Motorcycle jack or lift
-
Standard Wrenches or socket set

Allen wrench 3/8"

Torque wrench (recommended)
Installation Instructions
1. Preparation
-
Safely secure your motorcycle and use a jack or lift to raise the rear of the bike just enough to remove the weight from the rear shocks.

Remove the seat to gain access to the upper shock area.
2. Remove Factory Shock Hardware
-
On one side of the bike, remove both the inner and outer nuts from the upper shock stud.

Remove the factory upper shock stud completely.
-
Note: On some models, it may be necessary to remove the lower shock bolt to swing the shock outward for clearance.
3. Install Upper Shock Slider Assembly

Slide the Bung King upper shock slider assembly onto the upper shock eyelet.
-
Install the complete assembly back into the frame, following the correct order of parts listed below.
4. Order of Assembly (from outside to inside)

Delrin Slider Tube
-
Allen Bolt with Split Washer
-
(Split washer should be installed over the bolt and positioned inside the Delrin slider.)

1/2" Small Aluminum Spacer
-
Shock Eyelet
-
Motorcycle Strut (frame section of bike)
-
’03 Threaded Adapter (located inside the fender strut)
-
Flange should face inward, with the shouldered section toward the inside of the strut.

5. Final Assembly
-
Verify that all components are installed in the correct order and properly seated.

Tighten all fasteners securely, ensuring the shock moves freely without binding.
-
Repeat the process on the opposite side of the motorcycle.

Reinstall the seat and lower the motorcycle from the lift.
