These stainless steel stepped blind bungs—also known as top hat bungs—are perfect for fabricating or modifying gas tanks, oil tanks, or any stainless fluid container. Each bung features a machined step to ensure consistent standoff height, making placement and welding easier and more precise. The larger 3/4" flange provides a strong weld surface and spreads stress across a wider area. The stepped-down 9/16" section allows for smaller holes in your tank for a cleaner, more professional fit.
